The 2010 conference has now come to an end.

All exhibitions have now been selected and judged. The opening at ArtsPost will take place on the 1st of July and the opening at Diocesan School on the 9th July. Awards winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner on the 10th of July.

Hamilton, July 9th - 15th

The Waikato Embroiderers' Guild has enjoyed hosting the biennial National Conference 2010 on behalf of the Association of New Zealand Embroiderers' Guilds Inc (ANZEG).

Five hundred Conference attendees enjoyed a week of meetings, speakers, exhibitions and workshops in Hamilton with sunshine and blue skies every day.

The exhibitions at Artspost, Diocesan School and The Cathedral Church of St Peter were very well attended by the public who appreciated seeing beautiful traditional work and contemporary embroidered art.
The National Open Exhibition, the Invited Artists Exhibition and the Extensions Exhibition at Artspost are open until Monday 2nd August with free admission.

The winners of the National Awards may be viewed by going to Exhibitions.

The Bamboo Cabinet donated by Craftco was won by
Jackie Penn of Whangaparaoa

The Hand Embroidered Knee Rug, stitched by Sheila Buck with materials donated by Country Bumpkins of Australia, was won by
Tania Breen of Hamilton.

The Doll in the Cradle, made by Sheila Buck, dressed by Lesley Anderson in the wooden cradle made by Leslie's husband John, was won by
Judy Noble of Katikati.

The Embroiderers' Lamp donated by The Ribbon Rose was won by
Maree Andrews of Christchurch.

The Hand Embroidered Bed Spread made by the Traditional Embroiderers' Group of the Waikato Embroiderers' Guild; was won by
